Science and Faith

As some of you know, I've been taking a college science class outside of my "school" for extracurricular work. It is a lot of fun and I'm learning a lot. Something really bothered me at the beginning of class though, evolution. Evolution is the belief that everything God made, was actually created by something or someone else. Some people call it, "The Big Bang Theory" where everything was suddenly just here. Others say that humans were animals once, well, where did the animals come from...the trees? Some people just don't care and don't want to have to care. The earth is here, so what? I was watching a movie with my brothers called, "Expelled" well I didn't watch all of it, but I got enough. This man was interviewing all of these Science teachers who had lost their jobs. Why did they lose their jobs? They suggested that there was a possibility that there actually is a God who could have created this earth. The reason so many scientists don't believe in God is because they have been taught "If it can't be proven, it doesn't exist." What a sad way to live. There is no "scientific way" to prove that God exists. That is what faith is for.

Mathew 17:20

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Mathew 6:30

"If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?"

And my personal favorite:
Mathew 14:31

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

Faith and Science...

I am not judging scientists or even science. science is an amazing and beautiful thing :)

But that's just it, how can you look at this world and say there isn't a God? How can you disprove that something was created? I've been taking Chemistry, and although I am no good at it I've learned that atoms, the simplest building blocks of matter, are so complex it's mind boggling. And if the makup of atoms was even a fraction of a percent off, the whole universe would instantly cease to exist. How can you say there is no proof of a living God?
It takes more faith to belive that than to belive in Christ. Yeah, Mark 17:20 is a good verse.

We all came from evolution. We all developed out of mere chance. Don't you get it? We're all accidents!!! So let's just kill each other and be done with it. Maybe Adolf Hitler and Osama Bin Laden are right in their ways. After all, we're only specks of dust in space.

WAKE UP, SCIENCE! People are not just accidents. People are not just animals. We have emotions, ideas, skills, and a longing to believe in something bigger than ourselves. If you meet an atheist, ask them when they became an atheist. No one is born an atheist; they BECOME atheists over time because they don't hear what they want to hear.

Science IS an amazing and beautiful thing. Unfortunately, evolution has hindered the progress of science because scientists are wasting time, spending years to prove what cannot be proven. No one was there at the beginning of the world, so who would know exactly for sure what happened? Evolution must be accept by faith just as much as Creation must be accepted by faith. Face it, people: EVOLUTIONISTS JUST WANT AN EXCUSE TO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD SO THEY WON'T HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR WRONGS.

I agree with Justin. How can you believe the world appeared by chance and accident? Right now in Biology, I'm learning about how the human eye works, and I haven't been really successful at understanding that either! It's a crazy process involving light reflection, refraction, and various cells and nerves. Sir Isaac Newton said, "Did blind chance know that there was light and what was its refraction, and fit the eyes of all creatures after the most curious manner to make use of it? These and suchlike considerations always have and ever will prevail with mankind to believe that there is a Being who made all things and has all things in His power, and who is therefore to be feared..." How can chance create one, then DUPLICATE it exactly in every other living being?

Okay, sorry it's so long but I get really passionate about these types of things. (>.<)

I recommend "The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobel and the "Expelled" documentary. Thanks for putting this up, Grace!
